We have stressed before that asset safety is top priority at EXMO. We tasked ourselves with a constant strengthening of the exchange’s security system. With this in mind, in March 2021, we partnered with Ledger Vault, the global leader in cryptocurrency wallet management.

As part of this strategy, we are also transferring frozen EXM tokens from the current wallet to even more secure storage.

According to the EXMO white paper, 1 billion EXM tokens are locked for 3 years and stored in a cold wallet. The planned transfer does not imply the use of these tokens in circulation. They will remain frozen for the period specified in the white paper.

Please note that EXMO reserves the right to utilise free EXM tokens by burning.
