EXMO.com’s product release recap: main updates of the year

Big split

The greatest change that happened last year was the division of EXMO into two separate exchanges – EXMO.com and EXMO.me and two separate companies, respectively. Following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we stopped providing services to clients based in Russia. We discontinued conducting business in this region by selling the customer base and splitting trading pairs. By April 2022, we removed the Russian ruble from the platform and abandoned payment services related to Russia. We also sold the EXMO.me domain and continued to operate under the EXMO.com brand in all countries except Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

EXMO.com’s rebranding

One of the most important stages as part of the split was EXMO.com’s large-scale rebranding. And while our goals and mission remained unchanged – to make crypto accessible to everyone – we found ourselves in dire need of a fresh identity. As a result, our exchange boasted a completely new visual concept, changed communication channels and became a more convenient and understandable platform for traders.

EXMO Save Ukraine Relief Fund

In March 2022, we launched the ‘EXMO Save Ukraine‘ relief fund to provide humanitarian aid to Ukrainians affected by the war. For almost a year since the beginning of the war, the fund’s team purchased six ambulances and one fire engine, helped nursing homes to relocate from the occupied territories, and provided hospitals with necessary equipment and medicines. At present, the total amount of assistance exceeds $1.7 million.

Become crypto smart with EXMO Study

In November 2022, we launched a free EXMO Study course. The goal of this course is to help crypto newbies improve their knowledge of crypto basics and learn more about blockchain, investing and trading. The course consists of short animated videos that explain the basic concepts of the crypto world in a simple and fun way. We also offer notes for each lesson, as well as contests and tests, so that our students can learn better and track their progress. Upon completion of the course, we also award certificates confirming successful completion of the course. To date, more than 2,700 people have already received their certificates!

Earn passive income with staking

You can earn money on crypto not only by trading or holding it but also by staking tokens. The concept of staking is very similar to a bank deposit – it allows you to receive a stable income by holding coins in your wallet. Our traders have been requesting this service for a long time, and last summer it was finally launched 🙌

Trade stocks of companies on EXMO Margin

Last year, we expanded the list of assets available on our platform, and our traders can now trade shares of the largest companies, as well as the S&P 500 stock index. The new service is available only in countries where the EXMO Margin platform operates.

Save on fees with EXMO Premium

We have launched EXMO Premium packages so that our traders benefit from savings on trading fees. EXMO Premium allows you to receive fixed discounts on trading commissions between 15% and 100% for any trading volume and all crypto pairs. You can buy packages with EXMO Coin, starting from just $1.

Convert small balances to EXM

According to our data, more than 150,000 EXMO.com traders are left with balances that are not large enough to trade or withdraw. To help them make use of these funds, we have launched a converter that sums up leftovers and exchanges them for EXMO Coin (EXM). You can convert any crypto and fiat listed on EXMO.com with a value no greater than $5.

Buy crypto with a bank card

We have added instant bank card purchases so that our traders can quickly respond to rapid crypto price changes. Simply go to the “Buy Crypto” section, specify the purchase amount in USD or another currency, click “Buy” and fill in the payment details of your Visa/Mastercard. With this option, you can buy bitcoin or ether in just a couple of clicks, without the need to top up your balance.

Withdraw funds to the bank card

We have also added the ability to withdraw funds to a bank card. Now, besides hryvnia (UAH), you can also withdraw US dollars (USD), euros (EUR) and Polish zlotys (PLN) to your Visa/Mastercard.

Updates for real “pros”

We have added a new display mode for the Advanced Trade page called Pro Mode. Now, all necessary crypto trading tools, as well as information about important platform updates, are right at your fingertips. Pro Mode allows you to track balance changes, top up your balances and withdraw funds directly on the trading page. For your convenience, the trading page adjusts automatically to fit your screen size.

We are constantly collecting feedback from our traders and expanding the trading functionality of our platform. As a result, EXMO.com has launched:

• Post Only, Immediate or Cancel (IOC) and Fill or Kill (FOK) options, which can be used when placing limit orders in the Advanced Trading section. They allow you to reduce Maker-commissions, instantly buy or sell an asset, as well as cancel orders that can’t be executed.
• Take Profit and Stop Loss orders that make it possible to automatically close a position on the EXMO Margin platform to reduce losses or take profits.
• Cumulative order book on the Advanced Trade page, which shows the cumulative sum of all current and previous orders. It helps you monitor the level of liquidity, namely, which assets are at a price that is as close as possible to the market price.
• Updated “Fees and Limits” section, where you can find out how much you will save on trading with EXMO Premium packages, as well as check the trading commissions for a particular cryptocurrency or fiat.
• Payment statuses, so you always stay in the know-how of what stage your deposits and withdrawals are at.
